Our take: Edelweiss (the name derived from the Edelweiss flower popularized in the Sound of Music by the von Trapp family) is a deli staple on Stowe Mountain Rd on the way up to the ski base. In the summer, its a great place to pickup a hearty deli sandwich before a hike. In recent years, Edelweiss has increased its beer footprint, and now they have a strong craft beer selection including often carrying a large amount of Heady Topper.
