On the Wednesday before this Thanksgiving, I stopped into the Stowe Public House to stock up on some Stowe beer for the holiday. The new owner, John, was extremely helpful guiding me towards some newly released IPAs (reviewed below), and I left with excited anticipation over the three 4-packs that I purchased. Over the next day I tried each one of them.
First was the Cloud Drop Double IPA from Upper Pass, which evidently is the new “hot” Stowe beer … and I can see why. This DIPA at (8.0% ABV) packs a punch and yet is still light on the tongue … extremely drinkable.
On Thanksgiving day itself, I went with the Frost Beer Works Micro IPA (4.5% ABV) … another excellent output from what is fast becoming my favorite brewery here on Stowe Beer. Light, drinkable, and yet still with the right degree of hoppiness.
Finally, I moved on to an entirely new offering, Northern Heights (8.0% ABV) from Ten Bends Beer. This double IPA was fantastic … great taste with a subtle citrus finish. Looked and tasted great.
The Cicerone says: Check out Stowe Public House if you are looking to shop for Stowe beer … they really know their beer!
