von Trapp Brewing Strikes Silver at World Beer Cup 2023: Celebrating Stowe’s Brewing Excellence

Stowe’s very own von Trapp Brewing has just clinched a well-deserved silver medal at the renowned World Beer Cup 2023. If you haven’t heard of this prestigious event, it’s often referred to as “The Olympics of Beer Competitions,” and this year it drew more than 10,000 beer entries from 51 countries.

von Trapp Brewing’s Bohemian Pilsner captured a Silver Medal in the Bohemian-Style Pilsner category out of 160 entries. The accolade follows von Trapp Brewing’s previous triumph at the World Beer Awards in 2022 when their Dunkel Lager was crowned the “World’s Best Dark Lager.”

As part of the Trapp Family Lodge, von Trapp Brewing draws inspiration from their rich heritage and incorporates the German Beer Purity Laws, known as “Reinheitsgebot,” to craft their unique lagers. Using pure Vermont spring water sourced from their sprawling 2,600-acre resort, they’ve become synonymous with authentic, high-quality brews. They distribute their lagers in several states beyond Vermont, including New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. So, if you find yourself outside the Green Mountain State, keep an eye out!

Make sure to visit their bierhall in Stowe, Vermont, to sample their award-winning brews and experience the magic firsthand. Cheers to von Trapp Brewing and the continued success of Stowe’s craft beer scene!
