Our take: If you are looking for a place to buy great craft beer, your first stop needs to be Stowe Public House and Bottle Shop in Stowe village. The store has two parts — a craft beer and wine store with a vast selection of local Vermont breweries and other regional craft beers, and a tasting room where you can sample beers on tap.

Our take: Stowe Beverage has adjusted well to the craft beer scene in Vermont and here you can find one of the best selections of Vermont craft beers in the area. Also available are more mainstream beer and liquor options to suit your tastes.
Stowe Wine and Cheese

Our take: Stowe Wine and Cheese is a Mountain Road staple, and in recent years they have added craft beer to their selection. Stop in to sample Vermont regional cheeses and snacks, wines from across the globe, and their latest selection of craft beers.
Edelweiss Mountain Deli

Our take: A deli staple on Stowe Mountain Rd on the way up to the ski base. In the summer, its a great place to pickup a hearty deli sandwich before a hike. In recent years, Edelweiss has increased its beer footprint, and now they have a strong craft beer selection including often carrying a large amount of Heady Topper.
Stowe Mercantile

Our take: Stowe Mercantile is a really fun stop if you are shopping in the Stowe village and a must see. It’s a store with all sorts of Vermont goodies ranging from clothing to snacks to fudge and more. They often have samples of local foods to try. In recent years they have added a craft beer section that features local Vermont breweries. The store is located in the basement of a historic building and right next to the Green Mountain Inn.
Harvest Market

Our take: Harvest is known for its baked goods, prepared foods, and breakfast selection of coffee and pastries. In recent years, “The Harvest” has added a small craft beer cooler in the back and if you are lucky you can get some of the harder to find Stowe area beers that run out of supply quickly.
